Since 1872, the Presseball, which was created as a charity event for journalists in need, has been one of the most beautiful and important meeting places for personalities from the international media world, as well as relevant exponents from business, culture, politics, PR, advertising and communication.
At the same time, the Presseball Berlin is also a ball of interculturality, artists and writers who give this evening its special flair.

Historic Presseball Venues
In its 146-year history, the Presseball Berlin has found its way into various historical buildings such as the Old Philharmonic Hall, the State Opera House Unter den Linden, the Ceremonial Halls at the Zoological Garden, the Concert Hall at Dönhoffplatz, the Berlin Reichstag, Hotel de Rome, ICC, Hotel Ritz Carlton as well as the Maritim Hotel Berlin.
Central Hotel Berlin / Wintergarten At the end of the 19th century and in the first half of the 20th century, this luxury Grand Hotel was located directly next to the Railway Station Friedrichstrasse.
Reichstag The social highlight in November 1900 was undoubtedly the “Festival of the Berlin Press Association,” which was held in all rooms of the Reichstag.
Ceremonial Halls at Zoologischer Garten In attendance were musicians such as Wilhelm Furtwängler, Erich Kleiber, Arnold Schönberg and Richard Tauber as well as the writers Carl Zuckmayer and Roda-Roda.
ICC Berlin Poland and its capital city appeared at the 102nd Presseball Berlin. About 3000 guests attended the events of Polish culture, exhibitions,and fashion shows.
