PRESSEBALL BERLIN (Berliner Presseball), which first took place in 1872, is one of the top social events in Germany. Individuals such as Claudio Abbado, Gilbert Bècaud, Willy Brandt, Karl Carstens, Ray Charles, Marlene Dietrich, Engelbert, Wilhelm Furtwängler, Hildegard Knef, Helmut Kohl, Gina Lollobrigida, Brigitte Nielsen, Walter Scheel, Max Schmeling, Helmut Schmidt, Axel Springer, Franz Josef Strauß and the acting mayor of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit – to name just a few – have contributed to the atmosphere and popularity of the PRESSEBALL BERLIN.
